It was held from August 27th up to 28th the 4º Brazil Korea Forum at Unisinos, Rio Grande do Sul. Thanks to prof. Rodrigo Righi, NovaGenesis and Inatel project got a lot of attention. In August 27th, prof. Antonio Alberti participated in a panel about Nanotechnology and Future Internet. In August 28th, prof. Antonio Alberti did a tutorial on Future Internet, presenting a global view of state-of-the-art research and introducing NovaGenesis project for the audience. The event was very interesting, especially regarding the pannels and presentation on semiconductors, wearable devices, future Internet, and the Internet of Things.

Prof. Alberti presented a tutorial about future ICT architectures at the IEEE International Telecommunications Symposium in São Paulo, Brazil.

The tutorial gave an introduction to Future ICT, focused on correlating several emerging technologies. It summarized perspectives and already identified requirements, challenges, and trends behind key technologies that can be used on this task. More specifically, it covers substrate resources (computing, communications, etc.) capacity, scalability, ubiquity, exposition, and virtualization; Internet of Things (IoT) and Real-World Internet (RWI) approaches; Information-centrism; the role of naming in design, the paradigm of identifier/locator splitting; the role of semantic and context, specially for autonomic and cognitive architectures; mobility, security, privacy, trust; and Software- Defined Everything. The ideas of Internet of Services (IoS) and Service-Based Applications (SBA) are discussed. It discusses simplicity, sustainability and evolvability of design, as well as how to accommodate tussles, regulations, policies, etc. Finally, it briefly presented NovaGenesis future ICT architecture, given an overview of the proposed design, as well as discussing its integration with Cognitive Radio over Fiber Networks, IoT, and user-centric architectures. Prof. Antonio Alberti presented the talk entitled "Criatividade e Inovação: Internet do Futuro" at Santa Rita do Sapucai event.

The talk was divided in three parts: in the first one, the professor addressed the idea of Future Internet. In the second part, the possible ingredients of Future Internets were presented, as well as the impacts one can expect in society. Finally, he presented NovaGenesis convergent information architecture.

The Prof. Antonio M. Alberti represented a consortia of Brazilian and European researchers at the "Cloud Computing" session of the II EU-Brazil Cooperation Workshop in ICT - EUBR 2014, hosted by CSBC2014.

The session was conducted by Prof. Lisandro Granville, UFRGS, vice-president of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) - 2011-2013, and Dr. Francisco Medeiros Deputy head of Unit of Software, Service, and Cloud from European Commission.

During the session, Prof. Alberti presented a series of new ideas for Cloud+Security call of Horizon 2020 EU funding. The idea is to build an User-Centric, Cloud-Based, Integrated Architecture that merges User-Centric + Big Data + Social Driven Design + Software-Defined Everything (SDE) + Opportunistic/Spontaneous Net/Cloud + Security, Privacy, and Trust +Mobile Friendly + Name-Oriented Design +Proxy/Gateway/Controllers for Management & Control + Everything-as-a-Service (EaaS).

Many other presenters put their ideas and requirements for this call. There was also a discussion on future topics for the EU-BR Horizon 2020 calls.
