Who we are

Laboratory's overview

The main objective of the Wireless and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (WAI Lab) is to conduct innovative research focused on the integration of technologies that make up wireless communications systems and artificial intelligence. The researchers who make up this laboratory are engaged in designing cutting-edge technological solutions, seeking to optimize the synergy between next-generation networks and artificial intelligence algorithms.

At the core of its research activities, the WAI Lab seeks not only to explore the intersection between wireless communications and artificial intelligence but also to develop new paradigms and approaches that drive the evolution of these two areas. This commitment is reflected in the constant search for solutions that not only improve the performance of wireless networks but that also capitalize on the predictive and adaptive capabilities provided by artificial intelligence.

The WAI Lab has partnerships and research and development (R&D) projects with several national and international universities, as well as financial support from the government and development institutions such as MCTI, CNPq, FAPEMIG, and CAPES.
