Summary
A postdoctoral position is available to work at the 5G and 6G Network Competence Center at the Wireless and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (WAI Lab), where the researcher will analyze the performance of smart antenna systems. This project aims to develop tools to model and evaluate the performance of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), fluid antenna systems (FAS), and movable antennas, overcoming the limitations of current methods that are costly or imprecise. The project aims to define performance limits and scaling laws for these systems in various scenarios, optimizing their efficiency in 5G and 6G networks. The findings will provide new strategies to enhance wireless communications, signal processing, and optimization of next-generation networks.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field;
- Maximum time since obtaining the Ph.D.: 7 years;
- Experience in smart antennas, statistics, probability, and machine learning.
